关于我们
Elevate Children Funders Group is a global consortium of philanthropic organizations committed to advancing philanthropy in support of youth facing adversity. Our mission is to elevate the importance of investing in children and youth as a primary means of achieving sustainable human, social and economic development, all of which are critical to furthering global human rights, peace and security. As a platform for raising the philanthropic field through shared best practices, elevated grantcraft and pooled efforts, ECFG works on the premise that it is “better together” and that the sum of the parts can drive greater sustainable change than the work of individual foundations in any given field. Please note: All insights, views, and resources shared are done so in an effort to offer diverse perspectives and information to ECFG members and partners. Posts do not necessarily represent the views of any member organization.

Sharing this important piece from our colleagues at Family for Every Child and Lumos, calling for a radical re-think of global childcare reform. At ECFG, we’ve seen funding for care reform dwindle over the past few years—despite the immense need. Yet, ensuring that every child grows up in a safe and loving family remains as critical as ever. This article challenges us to move beyond outdated models and invest in community-led, family-strengthening solutions that prioritize children's rights and well-being. Powerful research from our friends at Firelight Foundation! ?? Evidence shows that when women have more decision-making power, their young children thrive. So, how do we accelerate action to empower women? Firelight’s latest research briefing outlines nine key strategies—including: ?? Encouraging men to share childcare and family responsibilities. ?? Preventing and responding to gender-based violence while offering women mental health support. ?? Preventing teen pregnancy through better education and community involvement.
