?? What is travel leakage and why it is the next biggest problem in business travel? Travel management is changing as travel leakage, the booking of business travel outside approved corporate channels, poses significant challenges for companies today. According to Deloitte's 2024 Corporate Travel Study, Gen Xers and baby boomers?are actually significantly less likely to use managed channels (such as TMCs). The consequences of unmanaged bookings? ?? Higher expenses ?? Weaker negotiating power with suppliers ?? Missed opportunities for strategic optimization ?? Hidden unmeasured emissions Businesses should focus on: ?? Enhancing travel policies ?? Adopting technology for oversight ?? Encourage a culture of compliance Is your company prepared to tackle travel leakage effectively? CC: Eldar Solomon, Edo Perry, Elements World

Well, they say sustainability is all about navigating challenges and today, we literally shook things up in SF with an earthquake?and?a tsunami warning mid-session! ???? Grateful to report everyone is safe and sound, and it didn’t stop us from having an incredible workshop! Some of the topics we touched upon include how the new administration could shape our sustainability efforts, impact led growth and what it means to have executive buy-in, aligning carbon reduction strategies with business outcomes and we closed out with great break out sessions. Huge thanks to our collaborators Greenplaces, VITAL, and the amazing attendees from companies such as Salesforce, Okta, Asana, Applied Materials, Ghirardelli Chocolate Company, GoFundMe, American Red Cross, Deloitte, & Mintz for making this session one for the books. Looking forward to more impactful (and hopefully less eventful) workshops soon! Stay Tuned?? #Sustainability #Workshop #AdaptAndThrive

???Up next: Meet Edo Perry, CEO and Co-founder of Elements World Elements is making serious moves in the corporate world by helping large companies (1,000+ employees) tackle their employee emissions. The company hones in on three biggies from Scope 3 emissions: 1?? Business travel 2?? Commuting 3?? Remote work How do they do it? By integrating with the company’s existing systems—think HR software, expense reports, travel booking—Elements gathers precise data and gets straight to the core of?reducing?emissions, not just offsetting them. Bonus: this approach saves companies a lot of money in the process. ???Fun Fact:?Global estimates suggesting that business travel accounts for?15-20% of?an organization's total Scope 3 emissions, releasing over 50 million metric tons of CO2 annually. ???Edo’s Snapshot: ?? His take? “Flexibility is definitely something founders have to have. I believe in focusing 80% on the problem and 20% on the solution.” ?? We’re diving into Edo’s epic climate journey, from organizing beach cleanups to working at Apple and evolving into a sustainability leader. Elements is aiming for a jaw-dropping goal: reaching 154 million employees, which would cut emissions by a whole?gigaton. Talk about making waves! Subscribe:?https://lnkd.in/g2A9uNFY
