During tax season, fraudsters pose as the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and manipulate individuals into giving up personal information. One of our employees received a phishing voicemail from a “so-called” tax preparer claiming they can relieve any “pending IRS tax issues.” Knowing that this employee didn’t have anything pending from the IRS, they knew this was a phishing attempt and quickly reported the spam caller.
