The housing market is one of the most regulated sectors in the U.S. economy. Various laws, regulations, guidelines, agency memos, and court opinions touch everything from zoning to disaster relief. These regulations span jurisdictions (e.g., federal, county, state, tribal) and impact a diverse set of stakeholders (e.g., government agencies, property developers, households). We developed the?Housing Regulation Explorer?prototype to explore how to address the hallucination issues that plagues the application of LLMs in the legal sector and to build a solution for the chaos surrounding housing market regulation content and data. An area of major investment for Element14, we are building a product that takes advantage of the most recent advances in research to address: >Data quality and integrity. >Model design and architecture. >User interface and user experience.
