Today there are only two #battery manufacturing facilities online in the U.S. supplying modules or packs for the stationary storage market [source: American Clean Power Association (ACP)]. 2023 was a breakout year for #energystorage additions to the U.S. grid – with 7.9 GW of new #energystorage capacity added (nearly double the 4 GW brought online in 2022), according to the American Clean Power Association (ACP)'s recently published 2023 Annual Market Report. With this rapid growth comes a need for better control of the #batteries being installed across the #US to ensure our #grid remains reliable and resilient.
