We're thrilled to share some highlights from this year's Automotive Computing Conference (ACC)! As a proud founding partner, it’s exciting to see such a strong turnout for the 7th edition in Munich—what an incredible gathering of minds! We’re especially excited to see our own expert, Isaac Trefz, take the stage. He’ll be leading a deep dive into the world of using Linux for safety-critical applications—involved in developing the next generation of SDVs. Can't wait to see the insights and conversations unfold! #Elektrobit #ACC2024 #AutomotiveComputingConference #SDV #softwaredefinedvehicle #automotive
Good Morning from Day 2 of the #ACC Conference! We are excited to kick off another insightful day focused on the future of automotive technology. This morning, our presentations centered around virtualization strategies and #virtualplatforms, which are becoming increasingly vital in the development of software-defined vehicles (#SDVs). We began with a warm welcome and opening remarks from Bernhard Rill, Director of Automotive Partnerships at Arm. His insights set the stage for a day filled with innovative discussions. Our first speaker session delved into the integration and validation for SDV architectures, highlighting the importance of both Software-in-the-Loop (SIL) and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing. As we transition to software-defined vehicles, traditional methods of validating electronic control units (ECUs) in vehicle prototypes are no longer sufficient. Dr. Barbara Kempkes, Strategic Product Manager at dSPACE GmbH, emphasized that a holistic validation strategy must encompass all testing phases - from functional tests to comprehensive vehicle architecture validation - while ensuring seamless integration between #SIL and #HIL environments. Following this, we had an engaging tandem presentation by Nicolai Behmann and Tapan Vikas M.D from Siemens. They discussed the increasing adoption of virtual platforms and how accelerated virtual platform architectures can significantly enhance simulation speed. Their insights into connecting virtual platforms for a complete electronics #digitaltwin were particularly enlightening. Finally, we heard from Bill Neifert, SVP Partnerships at Corellium, who presented on high-speed, next-generation virtual prototypes for SDVs. He covered critical topics such as delivering binary equivalence while mapping various architecture types to server processors and ensuring mixed criticality freedom from interference. As we continue our journey through Day 2, we look forward to more thought-provoking discussions and #collaborations that will shape the future of #automotivesoftware development. Thank you for being part of this exciting conference!
