She holds a degree in Physical Therapy from Hunter College and a Masters in Public Health from Columbia University. Alissa specializes in pelvic floor health and recently completed a Perimenopause/Menopause Certificate Program through the The Integrative Women's Health Institute. Menopause care is a necessity, not a nice-to-have. Yet the prevailing narrative too often presents it as a privilege, accessible only to those who can afford it. This must change. To address this dissonance, we need widespread reform, including: ?? More clinicians trained in menopause participating in Medicaid ?? Policy alignment to incentivize broader access to high-quality menopause care ?? Expanded use of digital health platforms to overcome geographical barriers ??
