We’re honored that our latest range of tumble dryers from our Electrolux and AEG brands have become the first in the industry to earn the new Woolmark Wool Care Green certification from global wool care experts The Woolmark Company. The new certification ensures the highest care for wool together with lower energy consumption. Woolmark already certified Electrolux and AEG products for wool washing and wool drying cycles for hand washable and machine washable wool garments, and now certain tumble dryer models in our new ranges in Europe and upcoming ranges in Asia Pacific (spring 2025) have taken the top Wool Care Green honors. “This new, green Woolmark certification proves once again that we deliver a superior clothes care experience while minimizing the use of resources,” says Elisa Stabon, Head of Product Experience, Product Line Care R&D. “This is possible thanks to the competence of our R&D teams, who worked to combine efficient architectures and technologies that enable advanced functionality.” #laundry #sustainability #woolmark #energyefficiency?

Let's talk about e-waste: Old smartphones, computers and keyboards – we all have them in our homes and offices.? But what we do with e-waste really matters.? Every year, 58,000 kg of mercury and 45 million kg of harmful plastics are released into the environment due to improper disposal of e-waste. This number will only grow – as by 2030, a staggering 120 billion kg of new electronic devices are expected to hit the market.? At Electrolux Group, we take the issue of e-waste seriously. We’ve implemented a global process aimed at responsibly managing the disposal and recycling of our electronic devices throughout their lifetime. This includes the proper internal collection, sorting, reusing, storing and final handing over of tech devices to our global partner SK tes who further sorts it all into recyclable and reusable categories. Between 2021 when the partnership began, until the end of 2023, we responsibly recycled and refurbished over 4,500 pieces of electronic equipment - resulting in savings of over 4,870 kg of plastics and 5,760 kg of metals. While we’re proud of the steps we’ve taken, we know there is still a lot of work to do. Tomorrow the world comes together to recognize the importance of mental wellbeing for everyone. The theme of this year’s World Mental Health Day is “It's time to prioritize mental health in the workplace." We fully support this. It’s important for us all as individuals and?as a company to talk about mental wellbeing and create space for open conversations. Today we shine the spotlight on a great initiative from our team in Australia. People receiving a service visit in Queensland on Fridays will be met by a technician in a bright shirt. Designed for maximum visual impact, simply wearing a shirt is just the start to the conversation around mental health. The design features a QR code discreetly sewn into the fabric and scanning the code gives access to?TIACS, a free phone and text counselling service offering mental health support to Australia’s blue-collar community. We're gearing up for next week's World Food Day. Along with our non-profit Electrolux Food Foundation, we'll be running our largest global volunteer initiative ever. The aim? To educate 10,000 kids in over 20 countries in more than 9 languages about the importance of sustainable eating.?? ? Uniting with the Foundation, we'll deliver global Food Heroes workshops at local schools, NGOs and more from October 14-18.? ? This can't be done without the help of awesome Electrolux Group employees who have signed up to collectively deliver widespread Food Heroes workshops to provide fun, one-hour educational workshops that offer children sustainable food skills to help contribute to better health and a thriving planet.?? ? We've won another Red Dot: Best of the Best design award in 2024 -?this time for our sustainable packaging which received the highest distinction for its design quality and creative achievement. ? “The challenge for the design team was to create a stand-out packaging design that evokes emotion through a brown cardboard box. The mission was to reframe the sustainable cardboard box into something desirable and aspirational,” explains Ella Rudebeck, Design Lead Packaging, Product Line Wellbeing and SDA Design.? ?
