Now that the Technology Development Lab is open, we’ve expanded testing with a total of 22 DC fast chargers to focus on validation, stress testing, and product qualification. Yesterday we had the privilege of joining 4 GEN LOGISTICS LLC as they unveiled the completion of 30 350 kW Hyper-Fast chargers within the Port of Long Beach and 14 in Rialto, California. This marks a significant step toward electrification of an industry that plays a critical role in the movement of goods within the supply chain. This initiative is part of our $25 million “Green City” investment, which will help improve air quality in local communities while supporting California’s goal to electrify heavy-duty trucks by 2035. As the electric vehicle (EV) industry grows, we’re evolving, too. That's why we've opened a new Technology Campus comprised of our Center of Excellence Lab and our brand-new Technology Development Lab. Our new Technology Development Lab advances our Hyper-Fast interoperability testing, allowing us to adapt to the growing needs of our customers in North America. The new lab will also enhance our collaborations with 25+ automakers and testing of 40+ EV models to continue to ensure charging on the Electrify America network is reliable and seamless for everyone. We’re proud to celebrate the opening of our 1,000th EV charging station, powered by Electrify America, Electrify Commercial, and Electrify Canada! Located at Simon Property Group Fashion Valley, this station boasts 20 Hyper-Fast chargers, capable of speeds up to 350 kilowatts (kW). As we work toward our goal of reaching 5,000 Hyper-Fast public and commercial EV chargers by the end of 2024, we’re focusing on locations that benefit our EV drivers and connect them to where they want to go.
