Working together to electrify all homes
关于我们
Electrify DC’s mission is to make it easier, quicker and more affordable for District residents to decarbonize their homes. To accelerate the decarbonization of our buildings, Electrify DC supports three main programs: - Education and certification of home renovation professionals: Electrify DC engages and informs 14 professions and, through them, their clients, and connects them with informed homeowners and renters to facilitate the decarbonization of homes. For example, Electrify DC co-founded Real Estate Agents Leading Electrification (REALE) with a group of leading real estate agents from different brokerages who believe agents, as trusted advisors to homeowners and renters, with strong connections to their communities, can lead the effort to decarbonize our neighborhoods, one healthy home at a time. Learn more at realelectrification.org. - Healthy Homes Fair: Electrify DC, In partnership with the District of Columbia, created a free, full-day expo and interactive experience for homeowners, renters, home renovation professionals and career seekers to learn about the technologies, products and services needed to improve our health, increase comfort, and reduce emissions from the homes of the DC region. The inaugural edition will take place on April 6, 2024 at the DC Armory. To sponsor, exhibit and attend go to healthyhomesfair.org. - Demonstration Projects: The speed and adoption rate of residential electrification depends on the availability of neighborhood-based demonstration projects that allow homeowners and renters to learn about electrification in a concrete and hands-on way. Electrify DC is working to support one demonstration site in each of the District's 131 neighborhoods. By making the decarbonization journey more familiar, we can support the electrification of entire communities. Work with us or donate to support our mission. Or learn how to use your home as a tool to fight climate change. We look forward to partnering with you!
