"What's going on with your pilot unit in the Upper Peninsula?" you may be wondering, and we'd love to answer. While this EO Canopy is not open to campers at the moment (it's 19 degrees F in Negaunee today, so that might be for the best), we're using it for weather testing in extreme conditions and gathering data to help improve future units. It will reopen for camping again in the spring.? In the meantime, please enjoy these photos of the Canopy in the snow ???

January has already delivered remarkable moments in the mobility space-- from the buzzing innovations at CES 2025 to honoring the profound legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. During #CES2025, I witnessed the future of mobility firsthand at the #Michigan #Mobility #Pavilion. Michigan-based innovators showcased groundbreaking solutions: LIVAQ's all-electric ATV redefining off-road exploration, Voltaic Marine's revolutionary electric boats and charging infrastructure, and Electric Outdoors' innovative grid-independent charging solutions for recreational vehicles. This dynamic energy continued as I made my way to the Detroit Auto Show, where I had the privilege of moderating "Accelerating Impact through Strategic Partnerships." I engaged in discussion with some leading figures in the industry who are genuinely propelling our future forward! I gained valuable insights about the challenges and opportunities that come with strategic partnerships aimed at improving the movement of people, goods, and information across our great state. Thank you to Kevin Mull, Tim Slusser, and Clare Braun for your commitment to creating an innovation-friendly ecosystem. As we observe Martin Luther King Jr. Day, I'm struck by Dr. King's own mobility journey – traveling an astounding 6 million miles between 1957 and 1968 to deliver over 2,500 speeches championing civil rights (Source of miles traveled: Youth for Human Rights). His determination reminds us that mobility isn't just about transportation – it's about access, opportunity, and equality.
