EASA Tech Tip: Displacement Tanks Simplify VPI Processing of Larger Jobs No matter how large your VPI tank is, there are always those jobs that are a bit too big for the amount of resin you have. Options to displace resin range from pipes or barrels full of concrete with a built-in lifting bail, to sectioned tanks that can be placed between the stator and the VPI tank sides, to a cylinder custom-made to fit inside the bore of a large stator. Bake the displacement tanks after each use, then tarp them to avoid having to clean before each use. When not in use, store them outside or in unused areas of the shop.
