Gain Experience. Get Noticed. Get Hired.

关于我们

The Experiential Learning and Employability Hub (ELE Hub) is a Community Interest Company that supports individuals aged 21 and over to shape their careers, gain practical experience, and boost their hiring potential. Gain practical experience: Many people face the frustrating cycle: you need experience to get a job, but you need a job to get experience. Whether you’re starting out, advancing your career, or making a career change, this challenge can hold you back. That’s where we come in. Our Experiential Learning Programmes allow you to take on real roles in real projects—without the pressure of a traditional job. You’ll learn by doing in a supportive environment, gaining hands-on experience, building a portfolio of real work, and increasing your confidence. Practise hard and soft skills: Most people learn technical skills in one place and soft skills—like teamwork and communication—in another. But in real jobs, both sets of skills must work together. Our programmes mirror real workplaces, where problem-solving, adaptability, and collaboration happen alongside technical work. This hands-on approach helps you develop both the job-specific skills and the interpersonal skills that employers value most. Boost your career: Skills and experience are essential, but so is knowing how to showcase them to employers. We help you: ? Build a career portfolio that highlights your real work and accomplishments. ? Learn how to talk about your experience confidently in job interviews. ? Stand out to employers by demonstrating your skills in action. At ELE Hub, we give you the tools, experience, and confidence to take your next career step with real evidence of what you can do.

You are underemployed if your current job or source of income does not reflect your skills, abilities, qualifications, or experience. Perhaps you are working part-time when you have the ability to work full time. Maybe you are in a role that is not at your education or experience levels. You could be feeling bored or uninspired in your role. Or you may be self-employed at your skill level but not earning enough income. For some of us underemployment is temporary or even by choice. In which case use it as an opportunity to grow your career, discover new opportunities and build your networks. For others, it may be a prolonged state in your life that you are feeling stuck in. If this is you, you need to act. You need to put a career development plan in place to help you secure a new role or an alternative source of income. This may take time, but it will be worth it in the long run and help you feel better about your life and your career path. #careeradvice #careerdevelopment #ELEHub

The term "Imposter Syndrome" is being used very freely. It is important to differentiate between when you have Real Skills Gaps (a rational conclusion about what skills you do and do not have) versus when you are experiencing Imposter Syndrome (your overly harsh internal critic about your skills). While both can affect career confidence levels, this article explains how to tell the difference and what strategies to pursue to help resolve each condition.
