Providing high-quality safety and rescue training and consulting services.

关于我们

Elder Technical Rescue Services LLC was founded in 2017 by Bill Elder to offer technical rescue and occupational safety training and consulting services. Over the years, our team has grown to include many highly experienced and passionate safety and rescue professionals. Our goal is to help make the communities and workplaces around us safer. Our Core Values Small Class Sizes We stress small class sizes when teaching complex concepts and techniques. Having been students in very large classes before, we know that learning suffers, and students do not get enough one-on-one attention or practice in those settings. We are even happy to do private one-on-one training sessions with motivated students. Emphasis on Critical Thinking We do not believe that only teaching you one way to perform a task is right, because in the real-world you will need to be able to problem solve the situation in front of you. For that reason, we emphasize critical thinking skills. After taking our classes you will be equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to determine the safest and most effective solutions to real-world problems. Unparalleled Customer Service and Honesty We strive to offer high-quality, professional services to our customers. Whether it is training or consulting, we always ensure we are delivering a level of service that exceeds minimum standards and customer expectations.

  • ETRS instructors were out this weekend teaching technician level programs in both rope rescue and ice rescue. Thank you Blandon Fire Company for having us out to deliver the Rope Rescue Workshop: Arizona Vortex program, and congrats to the members from Radnor Fire Company, Berwyn Fire Company, and Upper Darby Fire Department for completing Ice Rescue and Emergency Response!

  • Earlier today we were happy to facilitate an Ice Rescue Refresher program for Norristown Fire Department and a couple of members from East Whiteland Township Professional Firefighters. Huge props for recognizing the time was right for a refresher and thank you for the invite! Refresher training is so important. That is why NFPA 1006 and 2500 (1670) both say that individual rescuers and rescue teams should receive refresher training and/or perform exercises every year. Don’t get complacent just because your certificate doesn’t have an expiration date on it!

Emergency Management professional with a focus on radiological emergency preparedness and response coordination. Hazardous Materials Technician and Radiation Specialist.

Perfect way to start off 2025 by receiving my Radiological Officer Certification from PEMA. I’m incredibly excited to work with my colleagues this year and do great things! 2025 is already shaping up to be a year of training and education with EMI National Emergency Management Basic Academy, position specific ICS trainings, and hopefully some HAZMAT trainings. Excited for what’s to come!

  • New courses for 2025! Wilderness Search and Rescue Awareness (3 hours) Wilderness Search and Rescue Operations (16 hours) Are there remote areas within your agency's jurisdiction? Local, state, or national parks? Hiking trails? Perhaps there are areas that flood frequently causing delayed or difficult access? Or maybe your agency has just been called out to assist with searches for missing persons? Based on the requirements found in NFPA 1006 and 2500, our new Wilderness Search and Rescue Awareness and Operations courses are intended for first responders who may respond to these types of incidents in their communities. Topics include defining the "wilderness" environment, hazard recognition and mitigation, specialized resources, search tactics, and search management. Both courses are approved for PA DOH EMS Con-Ed credits. Contact us for more information or to schedule a class for your team!
