We couldn't have done the Elavare Summit without these fantastic Brigham Young University students who put in a lot of hours behind the scenes leading up to the event and during the event itself. They joined the Elavare OCI (On Campus Internship) team because they care about helping mothers. Excited to have the recording this week to share! Vanessa Christensen (missing in the photo), James Tung, Brett Lewis, and Jordan Faust, thank you for making it a success! #internship #Utahevent #teamwork
关于我们
We are on a mission to empower moms as they transition back into the workforce, helping them find fulfillment and purpose in their careers. We recognize that women often face unique challenges when returning to work after taking career breaks, particularly due to caregiving or personal life events. Our platform is dedicated to providing tailored support, resources, and opportunities to help moms successfully re-enter the workforce, pursue their passions, and achieve their professional aspirations. Training and resources include in-person workshops, online videos, returnships, online courses, group coaching, and 1:1 mentorship. We welcome mothers and others who are supportive of women returning to the workforce. Empowering mothers to re-enter the workforce increases household income, reduces dependency on social services, and contributes more effectively to the economy, creating a positive ripple effect in the community. Follow us and spread the word!

Returning to the workforce after a long break can be challenging for moms. My friend, Heather Nemelka, is hosting an incredible event aimed at helping moms unlock their potential. Heather, I admire the meaningful way you're giving back! My page is yours to spread the word... _______________ Ten years ago, my world was turned upside down when my husband filed for divorce, leaving me to support five kids on my own. I hadn’t been in the workforce for 18 years. I was terrified—I didn’t know if anyone would even give me a chance. I had no idea where to begin. I struggled to figure it out.? Eventually I did, but it wasn’t easy. I know I’m not the only person who’s felt lost, scared, or unsure about re-entering the workforce. That’s why I created the Elavare Summit on Saturday, October 26th. This event is a chance for mothers to rebuild their confidence, gain new skills, and find hope as they re-enter the workforce. (1) Moms, don’t let the cost be a barrier to attending. We have businesses lined up who care about you and want to help. Reach out to me for a code to cover the cost. (2) For those not in Utah—you can register and access the full event recording afterwards. (3) The event link is in the comments below. Whether it's a sister, friend, neighbor, or your own mother, someone is facing a tough journey. Remind them that they don’t have to do it alone. See you on October 26th! Heather

Getting out of your comfort zone is hard. Trying to convince others to get out of their comfort zone can be even harder. Yesterday, TechBuzz News published this article that tells a little more about our mission to help mothers re-enter the workforce (in all industries), and the event we are doing (in-person and online) on October 26. You can read more about it in the link in the comments. Save the date and spread the word. More info to come. You won't want to miss! Mark Tullis

I'm a workaholic. I'm also proud of it. ?? As a working mother of five kids, I never get a day off. Four-day work week? What's that?! I've been a workaholic for so many years (28 to be exact - my son in the photo is now grown up), I don't really know anything different. And, I wouldn't have it any other way. When my kids were young, my jobs included: ? Chef...I’d get up early to get the kids ready for school, fix lunches (or make sure they had a fruit in the ones they made for themselves). I'd put small notes written on napkins to remind them to have a great day, and I was proud of them. ? Project Manager...I'd make sure they met deadlines for their school reports, coordinated check-ins with their teachers, and made sure they had all the materials and resources they need to complete their science fair project on time. ? Conflict Negotiator...I would have made Christopher Voss proud with my mad negotiation skills. No one can negotiate with a 4 foot terrorist who doesn't want to eat their vegetables like I can. ? Financial Planner...Making sure the bills were paid on time, invoices were filed, and budget was forecasted for family vacation. As a working mother (there are no Stay At Home Moms), there were no days off, no “clocking out,” and no vacations. But despite the long hours and the constant balancing act, I wouldn’t change it. I’m proud of the work I do, both in my career at Spinnaker Support and at home. It’s exhausting, sure—but it’s also incredibly rewarding. Because being a workaholic as a mother means: ? I’m shaping the lives of my children and giving them the best I can. ? I’m setting an example of hard work, dedication, and resilience. ? I’m contributing to my family’s future, both financially and emotionally. So yes, I’m a workaholic. But it’s not about being consumed by work—it’s about loving the work I do for my family and my career, and being proud of the impact it has. For all the working moms (and dads) out there—keep going. Your hard work is seen, appreciated, and absolutely worth it. Wishing you happiness in your 7-day work week! #workingmom #happiness #negotiation
