She hovered over the "Send" button. Typed. Deleted. Typed again. She almost didn’t message me. She almost didn’t reach out. She almost let doubt win. But she didn’t. And that changed everything. It started with a LinkedIn message back in October. She was thinking about coming to the Elavare Summit but wasn’t sure she had the courage. She didn’t end up coming. And that was okay. Because what matters isn’t where you start. It’s that you start. We kept talking. Kept exchanging messages. One day, she invited me to her home for a meal. Her teenage daughter worried it might look like she was stalking me. I laughed. Because isn’t that what courage looks like sometimes? Taking a step toward something new, even when it feels uncertain? Last month, we finally met. And I saw a woman who was strong. Capable. Full of potential. But she doesn't see it in herself. Not yet. She’s not ready to return to the workforce. And that’s okay, too. Because when she is ready, she will be unstoppable. Sometimes, we put so much pressure on the moment. The big leap. The perfect timing. The grand entrance. But more often than not, change happens in the small moments. A message. A conversation. A connection. So if you’re reading this, wondering if you’re ready— Maybe you don’t need to be. Maybe you just need to start. __________________________ I’ve spent years helping mothers see what’s already in them. Now? I’m helping them step into it with confidence.
