Thank You, Jennifer (Walters) Chandler for Visiting El Buen Samaritano A few days ago, we had the honor of welcoming Jennifer Chandler, Chief of Staff to Congressman Jim McGovern, to El Buen Samaritano during her visit from Washington, D.C. Our Executive Director, Mari Gonzalez, provided a full tour of our facility, highlighting the critical work we do to address food insecurity in Worcester. During our conversation, we discussed several key issues impacting our community: ? Food Access & Food Insecurity – The increasing demand for resources as more families face food insecurity. ? Food as Medicine – The connection between nutrition, health, and overall well-being. ? SNAP Benefits – The importance of strengthening and expanding access to nutritional assistance programs. ? School Meals – Ensuring children receive the meals they need both in and out of school settings. With over 30 years of service, El Buen Samaritano has grown into more than just a food pantry—we are a survival center and a pillar of support for our community.
