Watch how tile lines get installed in a farm field. Why tile a field? The quick answer is ?? ??Crops grow better by lowering the water table of a field, which can allow growers to plant earlier in the spring and avoid wet conditions in the fall.?This can also help crops develop deeper roots, which can increase their drought tolerance and provide access to more nutrients and moisture. Quite a few local growers installed tile in a lot of their fields last year and it is paying off for them because of the overly wet spring this year.
