Day 3: we had 2 plenary speakers (Dr Eva Tyden & Dr Gisela Soboll-Hussey), 6 sessions and 28 oral presentations. All abstracts are available from the EVJ website. Dr Eva Tyden: Equine parasite control, drug resistance status and attitudes: lessons learned in Sweden. Dr Gisela Soboll-Hussey: Equine vaccination: recommendations, challenges and future directions.

?? The EIDS team have returned from a productive and inspiring week at the 12th International Equine Infectious Disease Conference (IEIDC 2024) in Deauville, France. The conference featured presentations by leading researchers from around the world, focused on the latest advancements in equine infectious disease. Team members Drs. Richard Newton, Abigail McGlennon, and Jon Lynall shared updates from work on topics such as strangles, equine influenza, Streptococcus zooepidemicus outbreaks, strongyles surveillance, and a general discussion about vaccine supply challenges. It was a pleasure to reconnect with colleagues and form new collaborations throughout the week. Just returned from an incredible Equine Infectious Disease Conference in Deauville! It was a fantastic opportunity to connect with experts in the field and discuss the latest advancements in equine health. I'm grateful for the chance to further my understanding of these critical issues and am looking forward to applying what I’ve learned. IEIDC 2024 ?? The International Committee would like to very warmly congratulate Dr Kenza Bourrier (ANSES)! Dr Bourrier won the National Prize (NP) for her poster presentation "Assessment of the infection levels of foals by Parascaris spp. in Normandy." Thanks to the very generous support from the P?le Hippolia (represented by Mrs Laurence Meunier, President, and Dr Marie Orard, R&D Director), Dr Bourrier will be invited to attend the next AVEF congress (French Equine Veterinarians Association), in Tours (France).
