An inspiration to all women in construction.
It is with deep sadness that the NAWIC Orange County chapter shares the passing of Lynne MacVean, a trailblazer, mentor, and true inspiration in the construction industry and to the National Association of Women in Construction community. As the founder and leader of Mammoth Electric, Lynne dedicated her career to empowering women in construction, leaving a lasting impact on those who had the privilege of working with her. Her vision and leadership helped shape programs that NAWIC Orange County continues to build upon today. She was instrumental in creating Camp NAWIC and played a key role in the Thomas House Family Shelter renovation project and as a member of their board. Lynne was always striving to uplift and support others and always had a smile on her face. To honor her incredible legacy, Lynne’s family has established the Lynne MacVean Memorial Scholarship through the Future Construction Leaders Foundation. This scholarship will support aspiring professionals pursuing careers in the electrical trade, continuing her mission of mentoring and opening doors for future generations. In lieu of flowers, those who wish to contribute to Lynne’s legacy can donate by following the link below: ?? https://lnkd.in/gDHzxAb Lynne’s influence will be felt for years to come, and her memory will live on in the lives she touched. Our thoughts are with her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Rest in peace, Lynne. Your dedication, kindness, and leadership will never be forgotten. ?? We are honored to contribute to preparing the new generation for the workforce. Cultivating creativity is essential to driving innovation and shaping the future. NAWIC Orange County Marjorie Del Toro #ehsInc #BlockKids #NAWICOC #WorkpaceSafety #WomeninConstruction
Yesterday, NAWIC Orange County had an amazing time at the Block Kids event at Garden Park Elementary School. We introduced TK-6th-grade students to the world of construction through a fun and creative building competition. ?? Congratulations to our 1st Place winners! ?? Junior Category Winner: Cruz, a TK student, wowed us with a building featuring a security system. Senior Category Winner: August, a 6th-grade student impressed us all by creating a scissor lift with a safety harness, next to an electrical pole and security barrier. Both students showcased such imagination and problem-solving skills. ?? As always, a heartfelt thank you to our dedicated volunteers from CoolSys - Refrigeration and HVAC Systems, ehs International, Inc., ELLJAY ACOUSTICS, INC., and Architectural Design & Signs who helped make the event run smoothly, and. To our generous sponsors for their support through donations and contributions and a special thanks to the Garden Park Elementary School Boys & Girls Club, and all the amazing staff for hosting and supporting this event. Together, we made a lasting impact by inspiring young minds to explore careers in construction and engineering. Thank you for helping us make this event such a success! ??♂???♀?
