The World Health Organization estimates that globally, 12 billion working days are lost annually due to depression and anxiety, costing businesses US$ 1 trillion per year in lost productivity. This number is projected to rise to $16 trillion by 2030 according to Reuters! Even the U.S. Surgeon General has developed a Framework for Mental Health & Well-Being in the Workplace (see attached graphic). ?? Ready to take action? Every year OSHA publishes their “Top 10” safety violations and the same topics are repeatedly at the top of the list (as they are the most severe) – Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), Confined Space, Fall Protection - to name a few.? I stumbled across this suggested #safetytopic list from EHS Daily Advisor that includes these but also has some different topics I was very excited to see, such as stress and mental health.?What do you think about this Top 10? 1.
