The loss is unimaginable. The resilience of Angelenos even more so. We are united, Los Angeles. Ehrlich Yanai Rhee Chaney Architects (EYRC) Steven Ehrlich Takashi Yanai, FAIA Mathew Chaney, AIA DBIA LEED AP Steve Dodge Jessica Chang, AIA Melissa Cataldo Derek Leavitt, AIA

To our LA family, Finding the right words feels impossible in this moment. So many of our friends, colleagues, and clients have been deeply affected—lives upended, homes and businesses destroyed, and, tragically, lives lost. Yet, the city of Los Angeles is resilient - our communities and commitments to one another strong. We look forward to this cycle of devastation ending that the cycle of rebirth, wiser and more adapted to our shared ecosystem, may begin. Our heart is one, Los Angeles.

Featuring LAUSD’s Linda Esperanza Marquez High School, located south of downtown Los Angeles. Divided into two separate "campuses", the academic and the athletic zones are joined together by interstitial outdoor gathering spaces and program, promoting an internal pedestrian "street" that acts as a central hub for the students and faculty. Featured in Los Angeles Times Magazine back in 2010, Wolfe Residence "appreciates the beauty in the funky." Designed for an African art dealer/collector and his family, this pitched-roof Cor-ten steel exterior evokes African vernacular buildings. Oversized sliding glass doors open the steel structure on two sides, transforming the house into an airy pavilion. We are honored to be part of?Forbes Top 200 Residential Architectural Firms in the USA. Featured Project: Bayview Residence "With more than 200 awards to their credit since 1979, Culver City–based Ehrlich Yanai Rhee Chaney Architects can lay claim to a remarkable array of contemporary residential commissions. Despite building sites that are frequently challenging, their houses are exquisitely composed and sublimely scaled to respect their neighbors, with stacked volumes that rotate and intersect with stunning virtuosity. Exterior materials play off each other like instruments in an orchestra—light against dark, rough against smooth—as in this Hermosa Beach house, their Featured Project, whose white cement plaster walls are paired with painted metal panels and shou sugi ban charred wood. Cascading down its steep site, which is bounded by streets on both ends, the house still manages to enjoy stunning vistas, intimate spaces and—most impressively—flat yard space for the owners and their children."
