A recent analysis of Same Member/Same Medication Type across our book of Commercial Funded business, shows that ProCare Rx programs delivered a 4% reduction in the total Cost/Unit Trend price per prescription (prior to any PBM Admin Fees). In 2023, Avg Price per Claim was $94.19 for these Members…in 2024 it dropped even further to $90.84. During this same timeframe, the industry trend was an increase of 4%-7%. The drop in Price Trend can be attributed to a number of cost-lowering features in our EDGE program (SavingEDGE and ClinicalEDGE).? Our ClinicalEDGE team worked diligently to get the member the lowest-cost drug possible through increased adoption of Biosimilars, increased use of Specialty Generics, and Point-of-Care Messaging promoting Therapeutic Substitution.? Our SavingEDGE team rolled out new pharmacy network programs, finding the member the lowest-cost pharmacy program and delivery method available.? Our pass-through model also contributed to lowering the price trend as we passed through the savings produced by our Pharmacy Network Contracting team, securing us better pharmacy rates in 2024.
