Guess what? Our best-selling Ata Din Din Red Pepper Sauce has been picked up by University of Massachusetts Amherst Dining this academic year. University of Massachusetts Amherst has been ranked as THE best campus food in the United States for eight years in a row ... and this year we get to join them #EgunsiMyWay! Find our Ata Din Din sauce on the legendary UMass Amherst Worcester dining hall menu as a versatile base for both West African and fusion dishes alike. This is an exciting new venture for Egunsi Foods as we continue to push our mission to demystify African food culture one soup or sauce at a time. This is a big win for Egunsi Foods and a full circle moment for Founder, 'Yemisi (Eunice) Awosan, who is bringing authentic West African flavors to her alma mater years later. #ExperienceAfricanFlavors #UMassAmherst #UMassDining #CampusDining
关于我们
Egunsifoods is an NYC-based DTC food company focused on producing African food derived from classic West African dishes. Getting back to our African legacy of Farm-To-Table, we source our produce locally whenever possible and partner with farmers in Africa to source their raw materials. Our philosophy is to actively give back to African farmers and artisans, creating a long-term impact through social entrepreneurship instead of short-term donation through philanthropy.

We had a BLAST at the Summer Fancy Food Show this past week and to be honest, we’re still processing all the insightful and inspiring conversations that were had. We could spend several paragraphs delving into the intricacies of the impact these past 3 days have had on us but we’d only be scratching the surface. From the joy of participating in the first exhibition of brands from Africa in the Africa Fine Foods Pavillion to the conversations with the retail and food service buyers, heart-to-hearts between business owners, distributors, brokers, chefs, etc. of all scales — we couldn’t be more content. A special thank you to Prosper Africa and USAID Africa Trade and Investment Activity (USAID West Africa Trade Hub, USAID) for making this culture-shifting opportunity possible and to the small (but mighty!) Egunsi Foods team for holding it down all three days. We can’t say thank you enough. Dine Diaspora thank you for featuring our Ata Din Din Red Pepper Sauce in the Red Lentil Akara cooking demo by Chef Kiano Moju and for providing a space for ?everyone? at the Fancy Food show to experience the magic that happens when one incorporates African flavors as a pantry staple in the kitchen. To the folks that stopped by Booth #4738A and put a smile on our face as you Experienced African Flavors #EgunsiMyWay — THANK YOU! We create these soups, sauces (and now frozen entrees + single sourced egunsi seeds and cowpeas) in hopes in receiving the reactions and feedback we got this very weekend. We look forward to following up on conversations and getting our products in more stores near you!?Africa to the world — one recipe at a time.????? #FancyFoodShow #AfricaPavillionatSFF #AfricaFineFoods #WeFancy #SFFS2024?#FoodandBeverage #CPGbrands

A snapshot of the Summer Fancy Food Show day 2. It was definitely amazing to see african firms from the continent come together under one roof and make magic. Enjoyed the gastronomic session with Nina Oduro and the Dine Diaspora team. Not to forget the best Egusi Lasagna made with a delicious collision of cultures from Egunsi Foods. #africanpavilionatsff #Fancyfoodshow #Africanfinefoods

West African flavors have come for my freezer! This Juneteenth, I'd like to celebrate the work of Michael Twitty, whose memoir The Cooking Gene is an illuminating journey through his ancestral culinary history and the role of plantation kitchens and southern cuisine in American history. I'm also rejoicing that the new MOM's Organic Market in Natick, MA, brought contemporary West African food to my neighborhood, including Ayo West African Foods from founders Perteet Spencer and Frederick Spencer, and Egunsi Foods from founder 'Yemisi (Eunice) Awosan. Have you tried these offerings yet? What other brands should be on our radar in this space - comment below!
