The start of the autumn season also means the start of conference and sponsorship season. Last week I sponsored the #APAIL24 State Conference with the American Planning Association - Illinois Chapter in Champaign. It was a wonderful three days of reconnecting with colleagues, meeting new ones, celebrating transformative work, and learning from brilliant and creative minds. Also, thank you to all who attended my co-led session and engaged in lively dialogue about the ongoing evolution of comprehensive planning in our field. Earlier last month I sponsored my daughter's annual Stallion Trot to raise money for clean water at her school. Sometimes my sponsorship supports current and emerging leaders in the urban planning profession. Other times it supports future leaders in our schools. Win win!
