The Carlyle Group Donated 400+ Laptops. Here's How ?? The Carlyle Group has donated over 400 laptops to Computers 4 People! This incredible partnership will empower hundreds of individuals in underserved communities with access to education, jobs, telehealth, and more. This milestone didn’t happen overnight. Over months of collaboration, I worked closely with Michael Claudio to make this happen. It was also amazing to meet Lindsay LoBue, Carlyle’s COO, who is now championing our mission to bridge the digital divide. Beyond just ensuring fast and professional pickups and certified data erasure, this partnership highlights the true impact these computers have on the communities we serve. A special moment was sharing this collaboration with David Rubenstein (Co-Founder of Carlyle and recent Presidential Medal of Freedom honoree) at the Aspen Ideas Festival, where I discussed how partnerships like this can transform lives and communities. This is just the beginning. I look forward to building even stronger relationships with Carlyle and other visionary partners who believe in creating equitable access to technology for all.

We joined forces with Crown Castle, Mission Telecom, and the City of Boston to deliver 300 refurbished laptops and 75 hotspots to underserved residents through partnerships with local organizations like United Way of Massachusetts Bay and Vinfen. With support from Boston’s Digital Equity Fund, Computers 4 People is expanding its impact with a new office in Waltham, MA, ensuring more residents have access to devices and connectivity.
