Held in Buriram, we invited volunteers to delve deep into the concepts of a biological cycle. As part of the 3-day wildlife camp, our volunteers were able to: ? Participate in a variety of hands-on experiences at a local wetland which is now a habitat for the once extinct Thai Sarus Crane. ? Plant Ground chestnut, a key food source for the Sarus Crane. ? Visit a farm-to-table rice field to learn about organic sourcing Immerse in local wisdom on sustainable use of natural resources. ? Brainstorm and present finings to their peers as a wrap-up. Together, we organized activities that provided valuable insights on water conservation and waste management for participants of the Global Leadership Development Program (GLDP) under Suntory University, along with students from a water model school in Chonburi Province. The one-day event was filled with learning, fun, and camaraderie as we joined the Suntory team and students to plant rice in the paddy fields. The group discovered how air pollution not only harms us humans, but also the bee population who are vital in ecosystems. Filled with practical learning and themed activities, we aimed to ignite the spark that makes a difference in alleviating air pollution. Through participation in the ‘Nature Classroom’, which provides interactive and hands-on learning experience, students develop an awareness of the crucial role of water for all life. It was a great honor to be supported by the Rayong and Chonburi Provincial Education Offices under the Ministry of Education; the Department of Water Resources, the Department of Climate Change and Environment, and the Pollution Control Department under the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment. This collaboration represents a strong public-private partnership and a shared commitment to make a positive change in the world. The journey hasn’t ended. Our students return home with a mission to establish water conservation projects in their schools, ensuring that the legacy of stewardship continues. A highlight of the workshop was the creation of virtual art on iPad Pros using Procreate and AR tool, AR Makr. ???? Driven with the objectives of developing local communities and awareness of sustainability, we engaged with students to highlight the importance of natural resources. A lot of focus was also on bamboo as this is a crucial resource for both elephants and humans. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience, especially in supporting the regeneration of Khaonampu Nature and Wildlife Education Center. (Dow) ???????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????? - Over 120 enthusiastic youths from Rayong and Trat recently joined us on our 2-day Child-len Youth Camp with immersive experiences centred on Thailand's vital mangrove ecosystems Through hands-on activities and field trips to Thung Prong Thong, Marine and Coastal Resources Research Center (Eastern Gulf of Thailand), and Laem Son Beach, our students gained a deep appreciation for the importance of mangroves. They learned about the incredible biodiversity these ecosystems support, the benefits they provide to coastal communities, and the threats they face. Inspired by their newfound knowledge, the participants even started brainstorming ideas to create a mangrove conservation network We were so impressed by their passion and commitment to protecting the crucial habitats.
