As we close out the holiday season, and that means removing decorations, taking down lights, and closing out festive memories. It’s important to remember that ladder safety is no joke! A quick oversight could turn a joyful task into a trip to the ER. Here are a few ladder safety tips to keep in mind this season: 1️⃣ Inspect Your Ladder: Before use, check for any loose parts, cracks, or damage. Stability is key! 2️⃣ Set Up on Stable Ground: Avoid slippery or uneven surfaces when positioning your ladder. 3️⃣ Three Points of Contact: Always keep two hands and one foot, or two feet and one hand, in contact with the ladder. 4️⃣ Don’t Overreach: Move the ladder instead of stretching to reach that last bulb. Your safety is worth the extra effort! 5️⃣ Follow Weight Limits: Be mindful of the ladder’s maximum capacity, especially when carrying decorations or tools. 6️⃣ Use a Spotter: Have someone hold the ladder steady while you work, especially for outdoor decorations.
