It's been 1 week since Y Combinator Demo day where we showed thousands of VCs what we've been working on. Over the past 3 months, we 10x'd our business and we're now offering AI-driven exam prep across the USA ???? Romania ???? Argentina ???? Peru ???? India ???? and Nigeria ???? (+many more to come). Markets that have been historically underserved due to the high cost of creating educational content are now completely unlocked by LLMs. Educato AI (YC S24) is only getting started at making a difference there. Educato AI (YC S24) is building Duolingo for every exam. They use AI to create high-quality exam prep experiences for underserved students worldwide. Most exams still don’t have any high-quality online prep material. Traditional education companies focus on a few major US exams like the SAT and GMAT, offering solid but expensive online options. However, the vast majority of exams worldwide are overlooked, leaving students without adequate support. From medical residency in Romania to university admissions in Peru, Educato already helps over 5,000 students prepare for 10 different exams across Europe and South America. The platform leverages AI to generate high-quality content and deliver comprehensive, personalized study experiences just like Duolingo—making expert-level preparation accessible for every exam, no matter how specialized. Just returned from an inspiring retreat with Y Combinator and we're buzzing with new insights and energy! ?? The retreat was packed with incredible activities, from ice sculpting and pickleball to fascinating talks by both founders and group partners. Here are some key takeaways that stuck with me: - Resilience is Key: Embracing uncertainty and learning to deal with anxiety positively can make a huge difference. - User-Centric Approach: Truly understanding our users and their needs is crucial to developing products that make a real impact. - Cofounder Relationships: Building strong bonds and fostering open communication with your cofounders can be a game-changer. - Good Taste in Products: Developing a strong opinion on product quality by deeply understanding our users’ lives and preferences is vital. Be ready to adapt if new signals contradict your assumptions.
