Had a blast at the Student Affairs 101 conference hosted by Western Illinois University yesterday! https://lnkd.in/g9cBV84C It was wonderful to connect with colleagues and students while promoting the SAAHE program at Ball State University. Loved chatting with all the prospective students! Special shout out goes to the Educational Leadership Ball State University and Ball State University - Teachers College! Folks LOVED our swag! ??

We had an awesome SAAHE program Practicum Fair this morning! Students (pictured below) had the opportunity to connect with practicum providers—on campus and beyond! Our virtual Fair featured 25 practicum opportunities located in 16 different offices/units across five institutions/organizations! MANY thanks to all who participated!

We are honored to recognize Gavin Mauk as the recipient of the Social Justice Research in Higher Education award. This award celebrates efforts to advance equity, inclusion, and meaningful change in academic settings. Gavin stated "I plan to use the funds for my dissertation, titled Burnout in Graduate Assistants. I am using the funds to secure licensure to use two versions of the most widely used burnout inventory: the Maslach Burnout Inventory - General Survey (MBI-GS) and the Maslach Burnout Inventory - Student Survey (MBI-SS)." Congratulations, Gavin!

We are honored to recognize Michelle Jones as the recipient of the Social Justice Research in Higher Education award. This award celebrates efforts to advance equity, inclusion, and meaningful change in academic settings. Michelle stated "I am very grateful for this award. I will use the funds to present my dissertation findings at a conference, where I will share insights from my research on women’s experiences of harassment and discrimination working in campus recreation. By sparking discussions on existing inequalities and amplifying women’s voices, I aim to advocate for gender-equity practices that will foster a more inclusive environment for all individuals in the field."
