We’re providing $100 shopping coupons to 2,000 teachers from independent school districts across Harris County to help them create fun and engaging learning environments without breaking the bank. ??? Teachers who registered and qualified Wednesday morning will be able to shop for classroom supplies between September 11-15 with our Choice Partners vendor, Challenge Office Products Inc. EFHC - Education Foundation of Harris County continues to forge meaningful community partnerships through district and county events. On Aug. 20, EFHC Director Trina Silva joined members of #TeamHCDE’s Marketing & Client Engagement and Communication & Creative Services divisions at the Cy-Fair Houston Chamber of Commerce monthly luncheon, where Cy-Fair Fire Department Chief Amy Ramon addressed the state of the agency. Harris County Department of Education served as the first responder sponsor, honoring Harris County Constable Precinct 4 Office. EFHC also sponsored a table on Aug. 23 at the Humble ISD Education Foundation’s Annual Bad Moms Back to School Bash. Silva and HCDE Chief of Staff Danielle Bartz joined others for a night of purse bingo and fellowship. This week, University of Houston junior Hadi Totonchian began an internship with EFHC as part of the Civic Houston Internship Program at the UH’s Hobby School of Public Affairs. On Aug. 29, HCDE leaders and board members attended the State of the County address, led by Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo. The event highlighted key themes such as disaster resiliency and local initiatives to strengthen the economy. EFHC leverages these local partnerships to support Harris County students and educators through district sponsorships, innovative campus grants, school supplies in classrooms and scholarships for graduating seniors.
