EDUkraine's mission is to support Ukrainian refugees by helping them learn English through personalized, one-on-one sessions with dedicated volunteers. Our program goes beyond traditional language learning. It's about fostering connections, building confidence, and providing the tools for a brighter future, not just through a typical student-teacher dynamic but more through a relationship between the volunteer and student.
The sessions are tailored to each student’s needs, covering everything from basic conversation skills to job interview preparation. Ultimately, our goal is to improve our students' English-speaking skills. Most of our students cite the language barrier as hindering them from accessing employment, education, and social opportunities. Through conversation practice, students aren’t just learning a language; they’re gaining the ability to navigate new challenges and rebuild their lives in English-speaking societies (mainly the US and UK).
