Last week, EDPR NA was proud to be onsite at American Council on Renewable Energy (ACORE)’s Policy Forum in Washington, D.C., where industry leaders, policymakers, and innovators gathered to drive the conversation on clean energy policy and infrastructure. ? Our Head of Origination, Kelly Snyder, took the stage last Thursday for a panel on "No Slowing Down: Satisfying America’s Growing Appetite for Affordable, Reliable, and Clean Energy." Last week, our EDPR NA team was proud to support the Second Annual KidWind Project, Inc. Challenge at Heartland Community College’s Challenger Learning Center in Illinois! ?? In this new edition of our EDPR NA Energy Insights, Gerardo Adame Alvarez, our Head of Project Development in Mexico, and Rodrigo Inurreta Acero, part of our Federal Affairs Team, share how our EDPR NA team is empowering young women in #Mexico through a strategic partnership with the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA).?? ? We are proud to be supporting the “?Yo Decido!” social impact fund because our collective efforts are helping reduce teenage pregnancies and providing young girls with the health and educational resources they need to reach their full potential. This initiative supports Mexico’s national strategy for the Prevention of Adolescent Pregnancy and has already impacted nearly 35,000 adolescents in underserved communities. In addition to supporting reproductive health and education, EDPR NA is creating mentorship and learning opportunities for young women across its renewable energy projects, paving the way for female talent in Mexico’s growing clean energy sector.? ?? We are expanding our homegrown energy footprint within the state of #Mississippi! ??? Our EDPR NA team is excited to announce the launch of our Ragsdale Solar Park in Madison County, Mississippi! This 100 MW project, developed in collaboration with Amazon, marks our second utility-scale project in the state. Ragsdale will power the equivalent of 15,700 Mississippi homes each year while delivering significant economic benefits, including $34.6 million in local tax revenue and $15 million in landowner payments. By partnering with local communities and investing in sustainable solutions, we are proud to contribute to Mississippi's economic development.? Earlier this month, our EDPR NA team members, Trena Roudebush, and Gunnar Doyle, attended RENEW Wisconsin’s Renewable Energy Summit in Madison, #Wisconsin. ? This year’s conference theme, “Powering Tomorrow: Collaborative Innovations for Thriving Communities,” brought together industry leaders, policymakers, students, and advocates to explore the latest advancements in clean energy technologies and community-focused solutions for the state of Wisconsin. Panel discussions ranged from innovative clean energy applications and supportive policy frameworks to successful cross-sector collaborations and strategies for economic equity in the clean energy transition.
