Last week, our incredible seniors took a big step toward their bright futures. Apply Day at Esperanza College Prep is all about providing dedicated time and support for college applications—a milestone in our students' journey toward positive multigenerational change (PMC). Each 12th-grade classroom transforms into a space tailored to their needs: ?? A focused library-like room for quiet essay writing. ? A cozy café-inspired room with coffee for inspiration. ?? Collaborative spaces to brainstorm and refine essays. ? One-on-one sessions with KIPP counselors for personalized guidance. The excitement is tangible as students proudly sign their names under the colleges they’ve applied to. And the joy continues with "I Applied" pins and cookies as tokens of their achievement. This day reflects Ednovate’s commitment to high-quality academic preparation, innovation in creating inspiring spaces, and the power of being better together as a supportive community. We’re so proud of our seniors for taking this important step toward achieving their dreams! #Ednovate

We are thrilled to share some incredible news: all three of our schools?up for charter renewal with Los Angeles Unified School District were unanimously approved for another five years!?Congrats to?USC Hybrid High College Prep, Brio College Prep, and Esperanza College Prep. Out of 15 schools under review, only four were approved without question—and three of them were ours!!! This recognition is a testament to the high-quality education and transformative impact our schools consistently deliver. In today’s challenging political climate, where charter schools often face significant scrutiny, this unanimous decision underscores our undeniable value to our students, families, and communities. Achieving this milestone was truly a team effort, and we want to especially thank Jenny Aguas, Maritza Ramirez Nieto, Ed.D, and Klarissa Palacios, who lead our External Impact Team.?Their outstanding strategy and execution ensured our schools were seen in the best light, highlighting the incredible work happening across our campuses. These renewals reaffirm what we already know: Ednovate is leading the way in providing exceptional educational opportunities while championing the right of families to choose the best schools for their children. This collaboration opens incredible opportunities for our students, ensuring they receive enhanced financial aid and a higher chance of being named Scholars during their first year. Here's what makes this partnership even more special: it was initiated by one of our own alumni, Alexis, who is now thriving as a 3rd-year student at California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo. Alexis, along with an ambassador group of five inspiring college students, recently returned to Ednovate to speak with our seniors about what’s possible. Their visit was filled with energy, guidance, and motivation, showcasing the power of community and paving the way for others to follow in their footsteps. As we prepare to go on break, we reflect on the incredible Back to School Night hosted at Legacy College Prep. Families enjoyed a vibrant, carnival-like atmosphere before connecting with their scholars' teachers and exploring all that Legacy has to offer. From learning about extracurricular programs and partnerships with outside organizations to experiencing the amazing musical performances and projects from our talented scholars, the night truly showcased the spirit of our community. Events like these are what makes Ednovate better together –?bringing families, staff, and students closer as we work toward a successful year ahead. The event featured vibrant folklórico performances, cultural displays, and traditional altars honoring loved ones.
