Edgility is supporting MESA Charter High School in the search for their first Managing Director of Operations! Math, Engineering, and Science Academy (MESA) Charter High School is a community high school in Bushwick, Brooklyn. They opened their doors in August 2013 and they now have 498 students in grades 9-12. MESA graduated their first class of seniors in June 2017 and their cumulative graduation rate is 94%. As an organization, MESA is entering a new phase. Based on its success, it has been authorized to open a second school, which will first open its doors to students in the Fall of 2025. As part of this expansion, MESA is also in the process of opening its network office. MESA is looking for a rockstar operations leader. The inaugural MESA Managing Director of Operations (MDO) will report directly to MESA’s Executive Director and will be the most senior-level Operations person in the organization, and a core member of MESA’s senior leadership team. When you have an open position, the job description is an opportunity for your organization to make a good first impression and attract great candidates. It's also one of a few ways HR and hiring managers can improve candidate experience before they've even applied for the role. Before posting your new job description, double-check that it's straightforward and answers the most common questions candidates may have. For example, have you clearly stated what your organization offers and what you are looking for in return? This transparency should also extend to information about salary and benefits. Cut out the guesswork and include the salary range and summary of benefits in the job description.
