Edgewater recently held an insightful, 2 day training session for the Northern Michigan Regional Entity (NMRE) focused on the Person-Centered Planning (PCP) process! Participants gained essential skills to enhance client care through: 1. Core principles of PCP that promote choice and empowerment. 2. Techniques for crafting compelling clinical narratives and effective preplanning. 3. Step-by-step guidance for creating individualized plans of service (IPOS). 4. Understanding MDHHS standards for implementing restrictions in treatment plans. 5. Strategies to elevate the overall client experience while meeting regulatory requirements. Last week, Edgewater had the privilege of training the team at Safe Harbor Grand Traverse on operating as a Trauma-Informed Organization. By implementing universal precautions around trauma, Safe Harbor can better align with their mission to support the physical and spiritual well-being of individuals experiencing homelessness through emergency shelter, food, and hope.
