Rebuilding the past to protect the future! Crews are reconstructing nearly 100-year-old walls along the Menomonee River in Milwaukee, placing 2-ton stones with precision to strengthen the riverbanks. This project, led by MMSD in partnership with Milwaukee & Wauwatosa, is part of a larger effort to protect over 300 homes & businesses from flooding. Remembering Tom Paun (1940-2025) It is with regret, but also with great appreciation for a life well lived, that we share the passing of longtime Edgerton employee, Tom Paun. Tom was a dedicated member of our team, driving a tractor-trailer for an incredible 34 years—from May 26, 1972, until his retirement on June 30, 2006. His legacy at Edgerton was so strong that we often refer to his time here as the “Paun Era.” His commitment to the job and to his colleagues carried on through his son, Scot, who continued hauling equipment for Edgerton until his own retirement in 2019. Tom was known as a great guy, always ready to lend a hand wherever needed. He will be remembered fondly by all who had the pleasure of working alongside him. Our thoughts and heartfelt condolences go out to the entire Paun family during this difficult time. —The Edgerton Team
