#AI is driving unprecedented transformation in data centers, with massive global demand increasing spending on servers, power, and cooling infrastructure. As a result, data center CapEx spending will hit $1.1 trillion by 2029, up from $430 billion in 2024, reports Maria Korolov. Not only will networking be impacted by this shift, powering AI will require 60-120 kilowatts of density per rack, up from today's average 15. Designing for density and planning for a specific combination of resources and conditions will empower disruptors to achieve the capacity and confidence needed to meet demand in the age of AI. Our Infrastructure business has just closed the acquisition of GreenSquareDC, the latest addition to our growing data center portfolio which also includes EdgeCore Digital Infrastructure and atNorth. We will invest up to AUD 1.2 billion to transform GreenSquareDC into a large-scale sustainable data center platform in Australia, generating revenues under long-term contracts with hyperscale customers. We will apply our tried-and-tested platform-building approach, supporting management in acquiring sites, building a pipeline of future sites, establishing customer and supplier relationships, and implementing operational capabilities. We're building the data center workforce of the future! ?? Our partner Holder Construction recently hosted young adults affiliated with the California Conservation Corps at our SV01 data center construction site in Santa Clara, CA. As our general contractor for SV01, and in conjunction with the United Way, local unions, and subcontractor trade partners, Holder Construction gave attendees a site tour and shared more about?#datacenters and the job opportunities they provide.
