Meet Mike – a true inspiration! After a challenging stroke, Mike has been on an incredible journey to regain his independence, and each step has been a victory. One of his proudest achievements? Simply being able to get around Ecumen Detroit Lakes on his own. For Mike, what once seemed like a small task has become a powerful symbol of his strength and resilience. Every time he gets out on his own, it fills him with a deep sense of purpose and gratification. It’s the little things that truly matter and remind us that every day is a new opportunity to thrive and be grateful. Mike’s journey shows that progress, no matter how big or small, is worth celebrating. He’s a shining example of courage, determination, and the power of independence. Ecumen Lakeshore proudly participated in the Christmas City of the North Parade, while our dedicated Ecumen Hospice and Shoreview teams marched in the Cambridge Lighted Snowflake Parade. It was a joy to be part of these festive celebrations!
