This thoughtfully curated journey by Ecovillage Tours includes visits to inspiring ecovillages and ecoprojects in Portugal, including the internationally-recognized peace research village and founding Ecoversity, Tamera. She rejected traditional bureaucratic grant-making in favour of trust and relationship-building at the heart of her work. This trust-based, human-centred approach cuts through bureaucracy and decentralises the power of decision-making — allowing flow funders to allocate resources based on expertise and intuition. It ensures funds reach overlooked communities and projects, creating significant local impact. Our friends Maria Agraciada?and Clara Luz from?Instituto Brasil Etno?will join?Alessandra Pomarico?and Nilolay Oleynikovv?for the Free Home University's 10-year celebration, participating in a meaningful three-day journey of study and action to protect the Bosco D’Arneo. This gathering weaves together forest custodians from Germany, England, Italy, and beyond, in a collective effort to defend and honor the wisdom of our planetary forests. During these three days, the delegation will visit contested areas where the forest's survival is at stake, as well as new green spaces—forests that have been carefully planted, nurtured, and brought to life in recent years by communities committed to regeneration. Rooted in the spirit of community, solidarity, and learning otherwise, this initiative serves as a living example of how relational care for the Earth begins with strengthening our connections with each other. From the roots to the leaves, we embody the truth that we are not separate from our forests—we are the forests. This collective action is a call to remember that when we defend the forests, we defend life itself. Let us come together to nurture the possibility of regeneration, interweaving our stories and energies to reimagine a thriving future for all.
