I had the pleasure of enjoying a hot coffee Friday morning, where EcoSteris CEO Youmna Squalli unveiled their new community initiative— Because We Care—a free-of-charge Home-Generated Sharps Disposal Program. This thoughtful program addresses a growing concern for many families and waste management services by providing a safe and simple solution to dispose of needles, syringes, and lancets. Starting on Friday, September 6, 2024, and recurring on the 1st Friday of every quarter, residents can drop off their home-generated sharps at 112 Fabricators Street, Summerville, SC 29483, between 8:00am and 5:00pm. This initiative is a testament to EcoSteris' commitment to the community, ensuring safer disposal methods for those with medical needs. ??
