Economy Lumber Company has been providing quality building materials and unmatched customer service to the Bay Area’s building professionals since 1935. Back then the San Francisco Bay Bridge was under construction. A year later when it opened to traffic there was suddenly a broader market and new challenges in a connected bay. The business changed. Fast forward and we have another new Bay Bridge and another generation running Economy Lumber. Yet many of the challenges are similar. Can we keep learning? Can we adjust to the times? Can we innovate? We’re very proud of where we’ve been, but we know what matters most is where we’re going. It is the mission of Economy Lumber Company to be the preferred supplier of building materials for all customers by providing quality materials, a knowledgeable staff and exceptional customer service at a fair and competitive price.
