A Stanford study recently concluded that… Commercial rooftops are uniquely positioned to host community solar which can lower local electricity prices, especially for multifamily housing. Solar arrays on non-residential buildings could meet more than a fifth of annual residential electricity demand in almost two-thirds of disadvantaged communities, while lowering the cost of electricity for those residents. We are incredibly grateful to announce that we’re flipping the switch on yet another community solar system, developed in partnership with, and hosted by, Arcadia Farms. The second array on the Yorktown-based horse boarding and training facility will be much larger than the first, at 993kW. Arcadia Horse Farm has always held stewardship as one of their central tenants. Their commitment to sustainability has significantly reduced the emissions of their own operations, as well as further growing the renewable energy generating capacity of Westchester County.
