We’re honored to be recognized for a second year in a row as an mspWellness Champion! The Minneapolis Regional Chamber and the health departments from Hennepin County and the City of Minneapolis created this designation to recognize and celebrate organizations who work to positively affect the health and wellbeing of their employees and communities. Last week, several members of our team attended the BestPrep Educational Forum, an annual event to broaden awareness of issues affecting our local business and education systems through a thought-provoking keynote and discussion.

Earlier this week, a group of Minneapolis employees served lunch at People Serving People, a comprehensive emergency shelter for families experiencing homelessness. Thank you to our employees for making a difference in our community.

At ECMC Group, we celebrate Black History Month by honoring the achievements and contributions of the Black community. We are grateful for the powerful voices that have shaped our history and continue to inspire us with their strength, resilience and vision for a brighter future. #BlackHistoryMonth

The recent wildfires in Los Angeles County, home to many ECMC Foundation staff and board leadership, continue to cause significant devastation, affecting communities and countless lives. ECMC Foundation is pleased that our board of directors has approved a contribution of $1 million to the Foundation for the Los Angeles Community Colleges' LA Strong: Disaster Response Fund to support these efforts. As aligned with our mission, these funds will go to support postsecondary students, faculty, and staff during this challenging time. Also in response to this crisis, our parent company, ECMC Group, has donated $100,000 to the American Red Cross to support their efforts in providing relief and assistance to those affected by the fires.
