Yvette is based in our Princeton office, where she focuses her practice on commercial litigation matters including general liability, mass casualty and insurance defense, corporate litigation, franchise litigation, ERISA, benefit plan litigation, and health care litigation. Eckert Seamans' Rachel Winfield Karstetter is among the contributing authors to “The Future of Geothermal Energy in Pennsylvania: Leveraging the Commonwealth’s Legacy of Energy Leadership,” a collaborative report backed by Project InnerSpace and Penn State University examining the prospects for geothermal energy to contribute meaningfully to energy utilization in Pennsylvania. A chapter co-authored by Rachel and Villanova University School of Law Professor Todd Aagaard discusses the principles for addressing the ownership of geothermal resources and the rights of property owners. This past Saturday, our Women's Initiative at Eckert (WIE) had the honor of participating in the 7th annual Empower Her event, perfectly timed to launch Women's History Month! Hosted by the Boys & Girls Clubs of Western Pennsylvania and supported by Eckert Seamans and Highmark Wholecare, this inspiring program brought together mentors and young women for a day of growth, connection, and confidence. The energy at the Estelle S. Campbell Clubhouse in Lawrenceville was absolutely electric as our dedicated volunteers, including WIE Co-Chairs Jennifer Adams Shepler and Amy Zielinski Snyder, alongside Falesha Hollins, Carol Marmo, and John Myers, worked toward the mission of developing the next generation of strong female leaders. ? As we celebrate Women's History Month, events like Empower Her remind us of the importance of mentorship and creating spaces where young women can envision and prepare for limitless futures.
