I help companies address their most pressing challenges.

Trust has a proximity problem. When big projects and institutions feel distant, skepticism fills the gap and opposition is quick to form. I’m making the argument that for businesses, this isn’t a challenge—it’s an opportunity. By prioritizing strategic, local public engagement, companies can bridge the trust gap, build a team of advocates, and move their initiatives forward before opposition gains ground. Those that hesitate may find themselves playing defense instead. If you read further, I’d be curious to know if you agree. How are you bridging the trust gap with your stakeholders?

  • North Carolina was recently ranked first in the nation for manufacturing investment opportunities, making our state one of the most competitive areas for business and operational expansion. However, a successful expansion into the #TarHeelState is not without its challenges. It takes careful planning and a deep understanding of public engagement—meaningful, two-way communication with key stakeholders, including local communities, government leaders, and industry groups, and embedding yourself into the very fabric of the communities you serve. With a #numberoneinmanufacturing ranking, companies should be chomping at the bit to land or expand in #NorthCarolina. And many are. To do that successfully though takes careful planning and a deep understanding of and appreciation for how things work in our great state. Whether you are looking to locate or expand your #manufacturing presence in #TheTarHeelState, take a minute to consider the counsel we share with clients before they take that critical first step in launching a new project. And then give the E&V Strategic Communications team a call. We're #readytohelp.

Right Message. Right Audience. Right Time. Right Attitude.

New year, same question: is your company’s reputation on solid ground? If building trust with your stakeholders wasn’t a priority in 2024—the answer might be no. Trust builds loyalty, it mitigates risks, and lays the foundation for growth and resilience. We’ve seen firsthand how companies that prioritize trust don’t just survive—they thrive, in the face of opportunity AND opposition. That’s the kind of strategic advantage we’re helping our clients with in 2025—and we’d love to help you too! If trust isn’t a priority for your organization yet, let me convince you why it should be…

Right Message. Right Audience. Right Time. Right Attitude.

Wow, what a week! While traveling for business, my phone was blowing up with alerts -- texts, LinkedIn comments, connection requests and more. Thank you all for your encouragement; it means so much. Now, it seems appropriate for me to share... E&V is a different organization now than when I first came onboard almost ten years ago, but its commitment to the values that define our culture, leadership, and client success remains. It’s a commitment that prioritizes people over profit, product, or process. In my experience, focusing on people is what matters most and has the greatest impact on the rest. Investing in and walking alongside our E&V team—so they’re empowered to do the same for our clients—is a privilege I won’t ever take for granted. I’m thrilled that as managing partner that privilege continues. Here’s to the next decade of opportunity and growth!
