Today, we highlight Chad Melhem, an Electrical Engineering student slotted to graduate in 2025. He has previously interned as an equipment engineer for Tesla in Austin and at a controls/automation company in Houston. He claims these internships have been his favorite part of his student career so far. In the future, his goals are to get a Professional Engineer License, have his name on a patent, and have a Master's Degree in machine learning. He enjoys working with sustainable engineering and plans to do so after graduation. We at the Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering wish you luck! #ee #Tesla #sustainableengineering

This summer, The University of Texas at Dallas researchers held a three-day Satellite Workshop to teach students about satellite interference and the risks of data breaches.? Nibedita Swain, a telecommunications engineering doctoral student, is pictured to the left helping build a small satellite at the UTD Satellite Workshop. Over the past few years, the number of satellites orbiting Earth has increased by 361%. Satellites help us in our daily lives (accessing the internet and monitoring the weather); however, the increasing number of satellites means more potential for cyberattacks. The overlap of space and cybersecurity, specifically with satellite technology, is a high-demand field for students like Nibedita. Read the full story: https://lnkd.in/gw8Vurs2
