Our February STEP cohort is here! Meet our incredible new cohort of aspiring educators! ?? They’re gearing up to make a lasting impact in early childhood classrooms across the Bay Area. During orientation, our new STEP Teachers gained hands-on childcare practice and will shadow at partner agencies to get real classroom experience. With STEP’s support—including paid training, tuition reimbursement, and career guidance—they’re on the path to providing quality education and care for young learners. Outdoor play is where curiosity thrives and learning comes alive! At Wu Yee Children's Services' Kirkwood Center, STEP Teacher Kitty Liang encouraged gross motor development by engaging with a toddler climbing the slide, while STEP Teacher Karen Liao Yu performed the classic song Wheels on the Bus, complete with actions and singing. Moments like these highlight the impactful presence of our STEP Teachers in fostering hands-on learning experiences that improve coordination and build language skills. At STEP, we’re committed to supporting the ECE ecosystem by providing paid professional development, connecting passionate educators with partner agencies, and ensuring quality care for the children in our community.
