Our thanks to our nation's brave Veterans and their families. In honor of #VeteransDay we’re shining the spotlight on some of our inspiring grantees who are making a big impact on the Veteran community: ? ECAD, Educated Canines Assisting with Disabilities has provided highly skilled Service Dogs for Veterans and persons living with disabilities, to increase mobility and independence. One of their core programs, "Project HEAL?", is specifically designed to meet the needs of Veterans living with physical injuries, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, and/or Traumatic Brain Injury. Their Service Dogs help ward off panic attacks, provide a physical barrier in public places, and provide mobility and retrieval assistance. ? Village for Vets serves unhoused and at-risk Veterans through a combination of privately supported programs and federal grants. By being nimble and responsive, Village For Vets have been able to launch projects and programs that make it easier for homeless and at-risk Vets to access a wider range of support. ? Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation was established to honor the service and sacrifice of Marines and their families. As the Nation’s oldest and largest provider of need-based scholarships to military children, the Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation helps cover the cost of attending post-high school, undergraduate, and career and technical education programs. ? Battleship IOWA Museum | National Museum of the Surface Navy is one of the most unique Los Angeles Museums located in the heart of the San Pedro harbor. Today, Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital transformed into South Florida's fluffiest music fest to celebrate two amazing milestones—the 2nd anniversary of our Child Life Zone and Freedom's 7th birthday! This rock n' roll-inspired party brought together therapy pups, patients, and staff for an afternoon filled with dancing, treats, and heartwarming moments that showcased the healing power of animal-assisted therapy. With activities like a tattoo “paw-ler,” karaoke, and pup-friendly snacks, it was a ‘pawsome’ event to remember!????
