Today, our Executive Director and family members of our kiddos are in Dover to speak to the Joint Finance Committee at Legislative Hall requesting support for funding in the Division of Medicaid’s budget that would allow ECC to serve young adults over 21 in the Bridge Unit. Through the Bridge Unit's transitional care program tailored for teenagers becoming young adults, we can continue significantly improving the quality of life for children with complex medical needs, ensuring continuity of care, and ultimately reducing inappropriate placements for these children.
